1. Overview
At KPNR & Co, we are committed to delivering high-quality professional services. This policy outlines the terms for refunds and cancellations applicable to our engagements. All fees are charged in Indian Rupees (INR / ₹).
2. Cancellation Policy
Before work commences
If you wish to cancel an engagement before any work has commenced, you may do so by notifying us in writing (via email). In such cases:
- Any advance payment made will be refunded in full, minus any non-refundable administrative charges explicitly mentioned in the engagement letter.
- Cancellation requests must be sent to kpnrandco@gmail.com.
After work has commenced
Once professional work has begun on an engagement:
- Fees for work already completed are non-refundable, as professional services involve time and expertise that cannot be reversed.
- If an advance or retainer was collected, the unused portion (for work not yet performed) may be refunded after deducting charges for work completed up to the date of cancellation.
- A detailed statement of work completed and fees applicable will be provided upon request.
3. Refund Policy
Eligible refunds
- Advance payments for unstarted work: Fully refundable upon written cancellation request.
- Unused retainer balance: The unused portion of any retainer fee is refundable upon termination of the engagement, after settling any outstanding dues.
- Overpayments: Any excess amount paid beyond the invoiced fees will be refunded promptly.
Non-refundable fees
- Fees for professional services already rendered (completed work, filings made, reports delivered).
- Government fees, statutory charges, or third-party costs paid on your behalf (e.g., filing fees, stamp duty, registration charges).
- Consultation fees for advisory sessions already conducted.
4. Refund Process
- Submit a request: Send your refund or cancellation request to kpnrandco@gmail.com with your engagement details.
- Review: Our team will review the request and the status of work within 5 business days.
- Communication: We will inform you of the eligible refund amount along with a breakdown of any deductions.
- Processing: Approved refunds are processed within 10–15 business days via the original payment method or bank transfer.
5. Service Modifications
If you wish to modify the scope of an ongoing engagement rather than cancel it:
- Please contact us to discuss the changes. We will provide a revised engagement letter with updated scope and fees.
- Any additional fees for expanded scope will be communicated before work begins on the modified engagement.
- Reduction in scope may result in a partial refund for work not yet commenced, subject to the terms above.
6. Force Majeure
In the event of circumstances beyond our control (natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, or other force majeure events) that prevent the completion of an engagement, both parties will work in good faith to reach a fair resolution regarding fees and deliverables.
7. Disputes
If you are unsatisfied with a refund decision, you may escalate the matter by writing to our managing partner. We are committed to resolving all disputes amicably. For unresolved disputes, the arbitration and jurisdiction terms outlined in our Terms of Service shall apply.
